which comes first perception or personality?

personality is defined as " a persons unique make up, which influences the way the person responds to his or her environment".
this means that a persons personality is built due to the way the person is, this could be due to their way of life, or how they were raised.
nurture, nature and birth order has an affect on how a persons personality is formed, in simple context it means that if a person is nurtured alot by their family it could mean that they become highly dependant on their family and it could adapt their personality towards this. some say that the environemnt you live in and the things that suround you influence the perosn you become. for example a person who is brought up in a third world country will be more appreciative of the little things in live as they may not have the chance to experience the more wealthy aspects of life such as nice cars and money. however if a child was brought up in a rich part of the world and was given everything by their parents they may turn out to be selfish and unapreciative.
self concept is defined as " the beliefs a person holds about his or her own attributes and how he or she evaluates those qualities" soloman 1999
this shows that a person has to be happy with themselves for them to become who they are.

all these factors influence behaviour:

it shows that culture and how u were raised influences the person you become in the future. also it outlines the social aspects influence behaviour, it shows that familly could have an impact on behaviour, this is due to the face that families have different ways of thinking and acting also different parents have different ways of raising their children meaning that their children will be affected by the way in which their parents raised them.
age and lifestyle is under the personal categorie, which shows that a person can develop with teh age that they are at. also the friendship groups that people are in depict how they may turn out in the future,
