If we believe our overall values drive our behaviour, then we should be concentrating on the important, underlying motives that drive consumers to make product or service choices rather than simply product attributes” (Ries & Trout 1982).
Everyone has ears, everyone has a nose, everyone has eyes and everyone has values. no matter who you are, no matter where you are, everyone on this earth has values.
This is Kahle's list of values (1983)
1. Self Respect
2. Excitement
3. Being Well Respected
4. Self-fulfilment
5. Sense of accomplishment
6. Warm relationship with others
7. Security
8. Fun & enjoyment
9. Sense of belonging
All of these 9 values do play a part in my life however some are more important than others. Being well respected doesnt really impact me in any way because i dont really care what people think of me. However one that is highly important to me is having self respect, i beleieve that if you do not have respect for urself noone will have respect for you.
This list of 9 is what Kahle belives everyone is like. He belives that everyone has the same list of values. However i do not believe this is true because criminals who commit terrible crimes obviously do not have the same type of values as people who do abide the law. I'm not saying that i dont believe they have values because i think everyone has values i just think it changes from person to person. Everyones personality is different which means that everyones values will also be different. They may be similar but they will not be 100 percent the same.
People values cannot be confined to these 9 becasue some people believe that health is seriously important and many people go and work out at the gym to keep themselves fit. But other people do not go to the gym and decide smoke? Who has the write values? I personally do not think it is our write to judge people for what they want to do. At the end of the day its there lives and they can do watever the want to do with the life they are given. Everyone has values, but people are different so values change according to the person.
Um it's really not hitting the spot yet. You need to master the full functionality of blogger (images, videos, links), re-read the brief, get stuck into some research sources and begin to fly :)
